Taking a leap of faith to pursue my long-time passion of photography, I recently retired from a twenty-nine year career in higher ed and established Lyons Eye Creative. Lyons Eye Creative is a tribute to my late mom, whose maiden name was Lyons, and whose unique ability to see the extraordinary in the everyday world continues to inspire my work. It's this perspective I aim to capture in every image I create.
For me, photography is a calling and I often find myself being drawn in to images. Photography is not only a way for me to share the beauty I see with others, but it's a way of honoring my mom and the way she taught me to really look at the world around me.
I specialize in capturing the unexpected, finding interest and beauty in things that might be overlooked by others. With an eye for the unseen, I'm drawn to details and perspectives that often go unnoticed, and my work reveals the beauty in things that others might pass right by. Whether zooming in to the smallest elements or shifting focus to new angles, I look to transform everyday scenes into something fresh and striking.
Photography brings me joy and my hope is that through my photos, I chan share a little of that joy with the people who view them.
