Event Details

Jax Siminerio (@jax.etc) is a published writer, musician, videographer, and all-around crafter that is thrilled to be approaching their one-year anniversary of being sober from alcohol. To celebrate, they are hosting a reading in partnership with Collide Zine to share original poems and songs discussing their enlightening experience with sobriety.

The event will run from 6-9pm at Nutmeg, a non-alcoholic bar in South Philly.

Afterwards, around 7:30pm, the floor will be opened to any writers, acoustic musicians, or other artists who wish to share their own work with the crowd-- whether on-theme or not. Jax's hope is to create a safe, intimate space where all attendees can feel comfortable opening up without fear of judgment.

Swing by Nutmeg on June 22nd at 6pm to support Jax in their journey. The event is free admission, but they will have copies of their short-story collection Arcanum available for purchase and donations are always welcome!
