Event Details

Practice for Preservation is a wellness series that invites you to move, breathe, and reconnect in Philadelphia’s most historic spaces, all while supporting the Young Friends of Preservation Alliance. Join Jacqueline Griffiths (of Premier Building Restoration and Earth + Gold Wellness ) for a movement and mindfulness practice inspired by Vinyasa Yoga, followed by a restorative sound bath savasana, all set within the iconic buildings that capture the essence of the city’s rich history and spirit.

Join us for the series kick-off on Thursday, May 15, at Carpenters' Hall (320 Chestnut St.) from 6:00-7:30 PM. This historic venue, rich with architectural character and cultural significance, provides a unique backdrop for reflection, renewal, and inspiration. By participating, you’re not only nurturing your own well-being but also helping YFPA advance its mission to protect and honor the architectural gems that define our collective heritage.

All levels of movement and experience are welcome. Class is 50 minutes with time after to network and connect. Participants must bring their own yoga mat and water bottle. Carpenters Hall will be open at 5:45 for your arrival.

All participants must sign liability release and photography release forms to participate.
