Astrology is a complex system of symbolic thinking with a rich history and thousands of years of development across every culture. It provides an impressive framework for self understanding and an impressive ontology of time. Get to know the fundamental principles that underlie its predictive power and learn to speak the language of the stars!
Participants will engage their own birth charts, learn through friendly, supportive dialogue, and have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any interpretive principles that come up.
About the Astrologer:
Aleena is a dancer, artist, yoga teacher, and astrologer. She's been studying the stars since college, where she completed her bachelors of science in physics at Yale in 2016 with a thesis in cosmology, using stars to map the history of the universe and predict its future. Aleena has always taken symbolism very seriously, but it wasn't until later in her 20s that she found out her inclinations and approach to interpreting everything she learned in physics symbolically wasn’t some far out delusion, but a natural human impulse that has been practiced for at least 4,000 years across every culture.
As an astrologer, Aleena specializes in timing. She's especially interested in helping people to figure out what cycle they’re in right now, how it connects to different points in their past, and what it might suggest about their future. Astrology can tell us so much about the inner world, the character, the psychology of the individual, but Aleena finds how this manifests in the outer world to be particularly exciting. She's been ravenously learning Hellenistic Astrology for 2 years and is currently undergoing certification.
